The next walk will be on Friday August 21st at 10 AM
The walk will start at The Coach and Horses, Croxley Green at 10am, 21st August. A 5 mile walk - down Copthorne Road and towards the River Chess. Turning right following the Chess Valley Walk towards Loudwater. Cutting through Beechengrove Wood and rejoining the path back up to Copthorne Road and the Coach and Horses. There are some overgrown paths - you may wish to wear long trousers. A couple of hills both up and down. Rough paths and some road walking. Shady but some open stretches.
The walk on Friday 17th July - Started at The Coach and Horses at 10am. A 4.9 mile walk followed part of Croxley Green Boundary Walk, headed over fields by Dell wood, into Whippendell Wood and back via the canal, Rousebarn Lane and Little Green Lane to the Coach and Horses. It was quite a hot day but plenty of shade along the way. (13 of us)
The walk on Friday 19th June started at 10am outside The Coach and Horses Pub on Croxley Green. The walk was about 4 miles and roughly covered the second half of the Croxley Green Boundary Walk. (6 of us)
The walk on the 15th May was 4.6 miles and covered half of The Croxley Green Boundary Walk and started at The Coach and Horses Pub on Croxley Green. See route below.
"Coach and Horses to Copthorne Road, across the fields and down to the Chess. Turn left, follow to Miller and Carter, cross Scots Hill and turn onto Lavrock Lane. At the Croxley Great Barn, turn right and head towards the canal, cross the Chess and on to Ebury Way, then follow until Mill Lane Crossing, left onto Common Moor, cross the Gade and the canal and go up Mill Lane. Back to the Coach by road. About 4.5m.
